Osmo Polyx Oil Tints

  • Osmo

An adaptable, top notch, protective, colored hard wax oil for use on most inside wood surfaces.

Osmo Polyx Oil Tints is a very adaptable hardwax oil stain that creates part of Osmo’s interior scope of finishing oils.

The Silver and Gold varieties of this item are basically a reasonable oil with minuscule Gold and Silver specks in them. For the best outcome, these items should be utilized on darker woods.

Note That Osmo suggests 1 layer of ‘tint’ then followed by 1 layer of Polyx Oil Clear (except for ‘White 3040’). Clients have used only 2 layers of the tint for a more depth of the color. 1 layer of color followed by 1 layer of clear offers much better protection.

Polyx Oil White 3040 – It is very important that the ‘White’ Polyx Oil isn’t over-covered with clear Polyx Oil.

This can make the white finish turn a ‘velvety’ or ‘grayish’ shade. To keep the white finish, Osmo suggests that Polyx Oil White 3040 is over-covered with Osmo Polyx Oil Raw (3044).

The ‘Silk’ sheen level in this range was recently called ‘Silk Matt’, the product anyway remains the same as before.

*Prior to opening the 5ml example sachets, press the packet a few times to guarantee that the oil and shades inside are completely blended. The 125ml tins can be printed in German from time to time.
