Fiddes Hard Wax Oil Tints is an oil-based wood stain finish that dries to a delicate glossy silk sheen. Made from a mix of characteristic vegetable oils and waxes. Ideal for most inside wooden surfaces, including floors, entryways, skirting sheets, furniture, and then some. Kid and food safe when dry, this item is ideal for kitchen counters and youngsters’ toys.
This item can be intermixed and utilized related to with the first, clear Fiddes Hard Wax Oil
Note: Fiddes suggest 1 layer of ‘color’ followed by 1 layer of Hard Wax Oil Clear. Clients have also utilized only 2 layers of the color for a more grounded shading with positive outcomes. 1 layer of color followed by 1 layer of clear barely offers better security.
Prior to opening the 5ml example sachets, press the bundle a few times to guarantee that the oil and shades inside are completely blended.

Preparing and Applying


We always suggest that surfaces ought to be dry and clear, and that all hints of residue and soil be eliminated with a brush or vacuum cleaner before applying a wood finish.

The need of sanding and eliminating past finishes from the surface will rely upon the oil, wax or stain utilized (see product instructions for direction on this).


  1. Apply first coat very thinly with a broad varnish scraper, or for smaller areas a natural bristle brush
  2. The Hard Wax Oil should immediately absorb into the surface
  3. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours
  4. Apply second coat, again very thinly
  5. Remove excess with cloth immediately
  6. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours
